Sustainable lean construction practices, including Building Information Modelling (BIM), prefabricated construction, and 3D printed houses, are thoroughly examined. The course imparts knowledge regarding sustainable building materials, including low carbon cement and zero emission bricks. Strategies for improving energy efficiency and enhancing comfort in buildings are discussed. Moreover, the course covers sustainable transport planning and the process of decarbonizing the transport sector, with a particular emphasis on sustainable transportation solutions. Resource management strategies, including waste-to-energy conversion, construction and demolition waste reuse and recycling, as well as water management techniques like anaerobic co-digestion and microbial fuel cell technology, are covered.
