Ethics play a crucial role in understanding human conduct, both professionally and personally. Professionals often face dilemmas when making critical decisions, and it is essential to follow ethical codes while understanding what is right and wrong, legal and illegal, in the professional realm. This ensures a healthy and safe work environment. Additionally, professionals must be aware of the laws governing their actions, as this knowledge helps them navigate legal implications in their conduct. From a public policy perspective, a fundamental understanding of relevant laws is vital to comprehend how these affect individuals, their professional behavior, and their interactions with society and the government.
This course is designed to familiarize learners with the essential laws they will encounter in their professional lives. The content covers key areas of law such as professional ethics, the law of contract, dispute resolution, labour laws, intellectual property rights, taxation, and the basic laws governing companies. Each lesson is structured to cater to learners without a legal background, aiming to simplify complex legal concepts with clear explanations and relatable examples, making them easier to understand and apply in real-world professional settings.

Partner, J&M Legal
Preeti Mohan, a law graduate from ILS Law College, Pune, has been practicing since 2007, specializing in commercial and corporate litigation and dispute resolution advisory. With over a decade of experience, she has represented clients before the High Court, Company Law Board, and Debts Recovery Tribunal. Preeti’s expertise includes complex shareholder disputes, bankruptcy proceedings, and contractual issues.
A key focus of her practice is arbitration, particularly in the infrastructure sector. She has successfully represented major corporations in engineering, construction, and road projects, including defending constitutional challenges to Public-Private Partnership models in the highway development sector
